Graphics
The graphics are minimalist images that use contrasting lighter colours. Ideally, they will feature at least one of the colours from our existing colour palette. They are clean, cheerful, and inclusive, aiming to showcase people with diverse needs such as those with motor impairments and those with different cultural backgrounds. Each graphic has a circle as the backdrop. This contributes to the cohesiveness of the graphics even when they stray from the color scheme. The graphics are to be used as the covers for different sections of the app, for example: "Articles", "Trivia", or "Money Donated".
001 Iconography
Our icons are clean and universally recognizable, each with a stroke that is 2px and black. The design of the icons is rounded and minimalist to make them approachable and friendly. Nearly all icons found in the app will be on top of our primary color: #FEECAC. Each icon will have its name listed beneath it to maximize accessibility and learnability.
002 Mascot
This is our mascot, Beenard! He helps the user through the onboarding tutorial, joins them as they navigate through the app, and aids in their learning journey! In our mini adventure game, the user must help Beenard find his way back home. Users can unlock different outfits and variations of Beenard like glasses and moustache Beenard below!
004 Imagery
Our imagery will include various photos of bees, the environment, and the diverse members of our HiveFive community with people from all ages and gender backgrounds. These images will serve as coverphotos for articles and quiz questions. All photos must be high quality and not appear pixelated.
